Warning: The originals photos, texts, films, music, etc ... of the period previous to 1921 year -see the Act of the US Congress about it - have no copyright and belong to the public domain. British War Office AEC Type-B Armoured Car M1915.


PREPARED TO DEFEND YARMOUTH AGAINST GERMANS.

"British armored car fllled with home protection soldiers in the streets of Yarmouth, ready to defend that city against attacks by the Germans".


Notes on the known license plates of the AEC Type B Armored Cars:

O.H.M.S. = On Her (or His) Majesty's Service

O.H.M.S. - LH 8179 (In Yarmouth - there are two photos) [Chassis Type 'B' London].
Registration LH = Greater London from 1904 to 1964.

O.H.M.S. - DX 1284 (In Ipswich) [Chassis Type 'B' London]. 
Registration DX = Ipswich from 1904 to 1964.

O.H.M.S. - LH 8169 (Pictured: "Photo Simpson Marine Drive Hornser") [Chassis of another Type - but not Type 'B' London]. 
Registration LH = Greater London from 1904 to 1964

O.H.M.S. - AT. 2508 (In Norwich). 
Registration AT = Kingston-upon-Hull from 1904 to 1964
