Warning: The originals photos, texts, films, music, etc ... of the period previous to 1921 year -see the Act of the US Congress about it - have no copyright and belong to the public domain. However, those same pictures, I process this blog, when I restore and paint the pictures, then the right of modification is produced, ie that are protected by full copyright law, in this case mine. Of course there are many more laws in the world, declared in the public domain photographs (which is the topic at hand), in very later dates to the aforementioned (Example: WWII, Korea, etc ...) .

Italian Armored ''Autocannone SPA-Ansaldo 102-35'' M1916

The first Self-Propelled "Field Artillery"(*) of the world.

This brilliant solution, which provided the Italian army with self-propelled field artillery pieces, constitutes a "futuristic" milestone with respect to the rest of the armament used by the belligerent armies during the Great War, both in concept and design.

Not only were designing and manufacturing, for the first time in the world, self-propelled field artillery guns (in this case on armored vehicles Spa-Ansaldo 102-mm L-35 of the Navy), but also Batteries and Groups of self-propelled guns were equipped with a series of innovative support vehicles that, I insist, constituted the most original and modern formations of the entire war.

(*) Do not confuse this type of artillery (Field Artillery) with light self-propelled guns, or with self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.
