1-87 WORLD TANKS DEPOT - Online Store (1-87 HO Scale Tanks).

No. 48 - Char Léger Renault FT

A news story that I hope will interest some visitors of my Blogs.

I finished assembling and expand a small shop of miniatures this link: http://tanks-and-afv-of-the-world-store.blogspot.com.es

This dedicated, for the moment, the sale of 50 different models of Tanks to scale 1/87 HO, painted and assembled, made of resin and low melting metal, designed by Andrea Miniatures ©.

The 50 models that make up the collection are a representative sample of the evolution of the Tank from World War I to the present. In the collection exist, until exhausted, five Tank models of the Great War, of which I show some pictures in this post.

No-24- French Char d'Assaut SCHNEIDER CA
No-37- British Medium Mk. A WHIPPET
No-46- German Sturmpanzerwagen A7V
No-48- French Char Léger RENAULT FT
No-49- British Mk. IV Male Tank

As the tanks of this collection are painted and assembled, with a light application of Tamiya Weathering Master ©, are "ready for combat".

The commercialized with my distribution brand 1-87 World Tanks Depot © - 1-87WTD ©. A large part of these models I have exclusively, as I sold very few or never sold to retailers and distributors.

I decided to put a unit price on miniatures: 7.95 (21% tax included) for the countries of the European Union (EU) and 8.10 $ U.S. Dollars (tax free) for the U.S. and other countries.

I took advantage of the space provided by Google © with Blogger © to mount this “artisanal” store, especially considering the current and future visitors of my Blogs.

All payments are made through PayPal ©.

To enter the shop 1-87WTD, click here: http://tanks-and-afv-of-the-world-store.blogspot.com.es
or on the sidebar link.

I used some graphic elements from a previous store 2007: photographs, compositions, technical data, and also a graphics cards with the flags of the countries of the world users, at all times, of the tanks from the collection. As you can see, apart from the armored cars of the First World War, I am also interested in the tanks, especially from its origins to the 50s of last century.

I hope you like my new shop "artisanal" and miniature models

No. 49 - Mk. IV Male Tank

No-37-  Medium Mk. A WHIPPET británico.
No-46- Sturmpanzerwagen A7V alemán.
No-48- Char Léger RENAULT FT francés.
No-49- Mk.

  2. Hello amigo Albert,

As for now, I find editor, I'm thinking about the possibility of self-editing my book by parties, in small publications.
I thought on a type and format of publications similar to Osprey and other publishers: 60-70 pages, four leaves (eight pages) in color with my artwork and the rest, illustrations, photographs, tables, etc. and black and white inserted in the text .
I think it could and should begin to publish a volume dedicated to the "origins", the story of the first armored cars, auto-machine guns, etc..from the war, between August to December 1914.
It is the most unknown period conventionally handled of the Great War, full of clichés and misconceptions about the origin and use of this new type of weapon.
When you have it any clearer, I communicate, and if you have any suggestions on this issue would be welcome.

    Regards,

    Jose

    Hola amigo Albert,

    Saludos,

    José Luis

  3. Hello Jose,

I thought you were going to publish one big book, but if it's going to be a series of smaller books - no problem, I will gladly buy them all :) I really like your blog, I'm early armour fan and you present many unknown information and correct many misunderstandings and wrong information. Any idea when first part will be published? Good luck!

    Best Regards,
    Albert (Warsaw, Poland)

  4. Hello friend Albert,

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments.

Unfortunately it is not easy to find nowadays, an editors specializing in military issues that is able to perform an important bet in a publication costly. And those who have done lately, have lost out. You can not expect it to succeed editing a book expensive an issue only of interest to some readers.

There are many examples, but I will not quote any, of expensive editions of books that, commercially, not worth the effort for editing
This is due to the wrong approach of the editors, who are battered to return to start a new publishing venture. Most of them have undergone this bitter experience.

Many of those editorials are not able to "guess" that a book like the one I propose, although it may have an expensive book, would be a book to sell for many years. This would be a reference book, exist in the market and its usefulness as a basic guidebook consultation, and lengthen sales for a long time (which is the only concern of the editors).

My guidebook would contain more than 800 pages, hundreds of photographs in black and white or color, hundreds of color illustrations of the profiles of the vehicles illustrated tables of organization (TO & E), technical specifications, etc., and we could edit in two volumes.

Therefore, in view of the market situation, not think he has another practical option better than the DTP (self-publishing) in parts of my book, and this would create a new publisher. I edit publications be at least similar to those existing in the market today, including, I hope, more attractive.

If everything is OK, could, from the publication of the first volume —perhaps later this year— edit two or three annual books.

Publications not follow necessarily the original scheme of the book: the chronological history and per country of combat vehicles for the period 1898-1924 (Origins, Great War and Postwar). Therefore maybe create some monothematic volume.

I also plan to create, in the future, a group of collaborators, both for texts and documentation as to the illustrations and other graphic materials, including photos.

    Sincerely,

    Jose

  5. Hola amigo Albert,

    Sinceramente,

    José Luis Castillo

  6. Hello Jose,

I really hope you will find a good publisher who will not be afraid of publishing such books. Or that you will be able to publish them by yourself. You are right that such books will sell for many years. There is not many books of this kind, and some of those already on the market contain wrong information (such as Polish A7V myth). Your books should be successful (I believe they will get good reviews), but profits will come in years, not fast. Early armoured vehicles is, after all, a niche subject.

    Cheers,
    Albert
