Warning: The originals photos, texts, films, music, etc ... of the period previous to 1921 year -see the Act of the US Congress about it - have no copyright and belong to the public domain. However, those same pictures, I process this blog, when I restore and paint the pictures, then the right of modification is produced, ie that are protected by full copyright law, in this case mine. Of course there are many more laws in the world, declared in the public domain photographs (which is the topic at hand), in very later dates to the aforementioned (Example: WWII, Korea, etc ...) .

In the homage to David Fletcher. On the occasion of his retirement at The Tank Museum. 21st December 2012.

In the homage to David Fletcher

This portrait is my personal contribution to the fitting tribute given to historian David Fletcher. The tribute is performed on the occasion of his retirement on December 21, 2012, after 30 years at The Tanks Museum (formerly The Bovington Tank Museum).

The news I obtained on one of my frequent visits to the website Landships:

This is the page that The Tank Museum dedicated to this event:

If you want to write a text to join the tribute to David Fletcher, can do in this e-mail:

Mr. David Fletcher MBE is, very probably, the greatest researcher and historian of the British Tanks and Armoured Cars of the First World War.

His book WAR CARS * is the primary and indispensable reference on the history of British armored cars in the First World War. This book, along with his vast production of published works (especially on the tanks of the WWI) and its recent publication "The Rolls-Royce Armoured Cars" (Osprey New Vanguard 189. 2012), make more than deserved, by their readers, this homage.

The Tanks Museum (antes The Bovington Tank Museum).
